Your education coordinators have determined how many takes, or attempts, a user may make on a specific evaluation. In some cases, a user may use up all their attempts, accidentally or due to not passing the evaluation with the required percentage grade. This should be a trigger for this user to either receive some help on the training material, or perhaps simply on the use of AIS Central.

Should you wish to award a user an additional attempt for an evaluation, locate the users account inside your Help Account. In the top left corner of the page, you will see an option called ‘Additional Attempts’. Click this to open the ‘Additional Attempts’ window:

The ‘Additional Attempts’ window shows a list of previous attempts that have been made for this user, if any.  To award a new attempt, click the “Create” button.

When you click “Create”, you will be asked to select  the courseware for which you would like to make the additional attempt.

When you select the courseware, this will populate a dropdown where you will select the specific evaluation for which you’d like to make the additional attempt.

Select the Evaluation which needs the attempt granted.  You must specify a date range for which this retake is valid.  If the user does not submit their answers within this date range, the retake will expire.  Optionally, you can also enter a description of why you have created the attempt, which is only displayed inside the Help Account and not visible to the Learner.

Click the “Create” button when you are done and you will be returned to the Additional Attempts list where you will see your newly created Attempt.

You can manage additional attempts by marking the checkbox and choosing to Deactivate or Delete them.
