Overview
The CMAC Advisory Board (CAB) is a vital part of the CMAC certification program. The CAB consists of experienced industry leaders who wish to give back to the senior care market by taking an active role in the CMAC certification Program. CAB members are recognized for their expertise in the MDS process, care planning, quality improvement and reimbursement.
Participation to the CAB is by invitation only. The goal of CAB representation is to have board members that represent the unique disciplines found within the inter-disciplinary team, within the senior care market.
Role of Advisory Board

Approve the course curriculum, certification scheme, exam performance standards and make other essential certification decisions based upon its own determination or upon recommendation from others.

Assure the independence of the CMAC certification program from other conflicting interests.
Oversee the appeals process and professional misconduct guidelines
Monitor, revise as needed and approve CMAC certification policies and procedures
Attend regularly scheduled CAB meetings
